Full access to helpful human beings who can answer questions and provide me with the information I need to move forward is simply amazing! I'm a deck builder, and I must say, Stewart Lumber is the best Lumber Supplier In Seattle hands down due to their supply, and quality to price ratio. Their cedar has a color that you just don't get elsewhere every single time. The people are excellent, I rarely have to return crap lumber because they get good stuff. At 7:45am I inquired about purchasing lumber and taking measurements for a sideboard for a Dump Truck, I was instructed to go to the back "Yard" area for assistance. I again indicated that I needed assistance with the purchase of lumber, and needed to have a person look at the equipment to ensure I purchased the correct material, the employee stated "I don't do that" and instructed me to go to the front office. I explained that the front office instructed me to come to this area. Again the employee advised me to go to the front office. As I was walking to the front office I saw what appeared to be an employee and asked if he was indeed an employee, he stated he was. I explained my request again, and the employee advised that he could assist and would need to get the forklift and would be back. After 10 min passed he returned with the forklift but advised that he was uncomfortable with assisting me as he was a new hire. Although I am aware that he may have been unsure of his capabilities, I still needed to have a person who was knowledgeable with lumber to ensure that I purchased the correct material for the job. I thanked the employee and advised I would be writing a Google review and taking my business elsewhere.
